We’ve been advised by our upstream domain provider, SiteHost, of two recent email scams targeting domain name customers.
The most recent scam arrived under the subject line “Renewal of your domain name failed !” and included a link to a fake – but very convincing – login screen. If a recipient clicked the link and attempted to log in, their account password would have been compromised.
These emails are not legitimate and did not originate from SiteHost.
If you receive an email like this, do not click any links or enter your login details. If you believe you may have interacted with one of these messages, we strongly recommend changing your password immediately and enabling two-factor authentication where possible.
