PHP Security Update: An Update from Turboweb

23rd October 2026

Following our recent news story about the critical PHP security vulnerabilities affecting websites around the world, we wanted to provide an update on the work happening behind the scenes at Turboweb.

Our team has been working extensively to address these vulnerabilities, and we want to reassure our clients that protecting their websites and minimising potential risks remains our highest priority.

Where things currently stand

Turboweb operates two website platforms, our legacy platform and our newer Turboweb Platform.

Legacy Platform

Our legacy platform has now been patched, and based on our checks so far, we believe it is secure against the identified vulnerabilities.

The next stage of this work is to carry out further investigations to establish whether any of these vulnerabilities have been exploited. While applying the necessary patches is an important step, we also need to be confident that no unauthorised activity has occurred.

Newer Turboweb Platform

Our developers are currently working through the necessary security patches for our newer platform, with this work expected to be completed by the end of business today, Friday 23 October.

We've had two developers dedicated to addressing these vulnerabilities, carrying out extensive checks and implementing measures to reduce potential security risks across our infrastructure.

An unprecedented situation

The scale and severity of these vulnerabilities have created significant challenges for website developers and hosting providers worldwide.

For Turboweb, this is an unprecedented situation, and we're navigating some unfamiliar territory alongside others in the industry.

While security threats and updates are a normal part of managing websites, the seriousness of these particular vulnerabilities means we need to take additional care in how we respond.

Our immediate focus has been on stabilising both platforms, applying the necessary security patches and minimising any potential risks to our clients.

Once that work is completed, we'll be in a better position to assess the wider situation and determine the next steps in our response early next week.

What we need from our clients

While our team continues to work through this, we ask all clients to remain vigilant.

If you notice anything unusual with your website, whether that's unexpected content, strange behaviour, or something that simply doesn't look right, please contact us immediately.

It may be nothing, but we'd much rather investigate something early than have an issue go unreported.

We'll keep you updated

We understand that news about security vulnerabilities can be unsettling, particularly when your website is an important part of your business.

Please be assured that our team is taking this extremely seriously and working to manage the situation as carefully and thoroughly as possible.

We'll continue to post updates here on our website and on our Facebook page as we have more information to share.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work through this.
