Back at it for 2026

7th January 2026

We’re back, and somehow it’s already Wednesday. Not quite sure how we’re mid-week already, but that’s probably what happens when you spend the first couple of days remembering what you do for a living. Mostly joking.

It sounds like everyone had a really nice break. This year was mostly about staying close to home, with a few small adventures rather than anything too far away.

Sarah and Aidan spent three days camping up in Tarras with friends, then came home and, on a whim, decided to repaint the kitchen. As it turns out, that was a much bigger job than expected.

Bob stayed around home over the break, but did want to make sure we shared this photo he took of a seagull at Taiaroa Head.

Paul took the wonderful Steffi away for a mini break to Lawrence, where they did some exploring and enjoyed getting out and about.

We still have a few people on holiday, so we’ll keep you posted if they ended up travelling a bit further afield. For now, it’s just nice to feel rested, be back into the swing of things, and enjoy some warm weather while it lasts.
