Sales Consultant

Travelling Canterbury, Otago and Southland

Turboweb are looking for an experienced Sales Consultant to join our team. We are looking for a person with high degree of integrity (we don’t just sell anything to anyone), to become our salesperson in the field; developing relationships and building our client base.

You will need to be able to travel the lower South Island, develop a regular travel circuit and call cycle to get you in front of local businesses and sell our product and services.


Required:

  1. You will have proven successful sales experience in the field.
  2. You will have had to plan and execute activities to generate and convert leads into sales.
  3. You will have excellent professional communication skills.
  4. You will be comfortable and competent on windows-based computers, able to type better than 45wpm and with a high degree of accuracy.
  5. Clean New Zealand Drivers licence.
  6. Current New Zealand work permit.

You will ‘get it’ - you will be innately hard-wired to understand your role in the sales position and how integral it is to the Turboweb team and brand.

You will ‘want it’ – you will be the kind of person who springs out of bed every day because you want to excel in this role and you love the challenge of sales.

You will have the ‘capacity to do it’ – you will have the intellectual and emotional maturity, education, training and experience to consistently perform well in this role.

The successful candidate will be comfortable, well presented and business like (we don’t expect you to wear a suit and tie). Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel up to a few days a month within the lower South Island. Keen for a new experience, responsibility and accountability.


Specific Job Skills:

  • Ability to generate leads, assess client potential, convert leads to sales and manage long term relationships.
  • Be proficient with web-based platforms and a current user of various social media platforms.
  • Able to understand basic business so you can relate with business owners.
  • Must be a competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals in order to progress in this role.
  • Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator. Able to demonstrate success and experience in managing relationships with small and medium-sized business.
  • Your ideal background would be in sales and business support services.
