Introduction

Established in 2002 by Chris Bulleid, Bulleid Engineering is now owned and operated by Marque Hindle. Located in Winton, Southland, Bulleid Engineering work with transport companies, agricultural and forestry contractors and dairy farmers, and work on equipment ranging from tractors, silage wagons, ploughs and mowers to grapples and diggers.
 

Creative Brief

As the name suggests Bulleid Engineering's main line of work is mechanical engineering. Sticking to this industrial theme was important for Marque who had a clear vision of what he wanted the website to look like. The website also had one other important role to play - to direct people to Marque's location as the business is not on a main road and can be difficult to find.
 

Logo

With no logo to begin with, the new Bulleid Engineering logo incorporates the industrial theme with the outline being the hot red from a welding rod. Along with a few sparks and the dark grey metal, textured background, the new logo is eye catching and created a strong starting point for the website design. 


Website

Once the logo had been developed, the website was designed using the same colours and styles, in-keeping with the industrial theme. The six call-out boxes are eye catching and allow customers to find the service they require easily.

As per the brief, customers find it difficult to locate the business as it is not on a main road. We incorporated a map on the right hand side to make customers more aware of the location of the workshop.
