Winton Motorcycles

INTRODUCTION

Winton Motorcycles live and breathe motorbikes. They sell Suzuki, Kawasaki, Polaris and an NZ designed an electric bike for the rural sector – UBCO. They’ve been based in Winton since 1987 and have two mobile workshops that service the surrounding area, keeping farm bikes and businesses up and running.

A family owned and operated business, the owners wanted to have an updated website as their son and daughter-in-law became more involved in the running of the business and, naturally, the website.

CREATIVE BRIEF

Winton Motorcycles have two locations (both based in Winton) and so needed maps for the two locations and separate details displayed on the website. They manage their used bikes through Dealerbase and so wanted a website that could easily integrate with that. They also wanted to better showcase their bikes with prices and an easy to use enquiry option.

Winton Motorcycles sell a wide range of bikes and accessories and wanted to better showcase their products. For secondhand bikes they use an integration with Dealerbase, so they upload the bikes in one place and from there, they update on the website and Facebook automatically. Winton Motorcycles wanted to showcase their staff as some of the workshop team travel throughout Southland serving and repairing motorbikes.

For their accessories, Winton Motorcycles stock a wide range of gear from reputable brands, but with riding safety gear, there’s not a one size fits all – so they really want people to come instore and find their fit. That’s why we concentrated on their key brands and some great imagery of the wide range of stock that they do have instore.

LOGO

Winton Motorcycles were after a fresh new look for their brand and so Turboweb designed a new logo for them. Their previous logo was very plain, with a bold red WINTON and a light font for MOTORCYCLES. They gave Turboweb a bit of creative freedom, as long as it incorporated similar colours. Our designer created something more gritty, synonymous with bike riding, and with a bit more edge. It includes the wording, ‘The ride starts here’ and is a lot more dynamic. The muddy bike tracks across the back of the logo really tie it visually to bike riding, particularly with a rural feel.
 

TESTIMONIAL

The main reason for wanting a new website and logo was to revamp and our existing one. We wanted to create a mobile-friendly website to attract more customers and to use our website more for marketing purposes.

We chose Turboweb as the sales team took the time and initiative to approach us after doing their homework on our old website and showed us why we needed to revamp and bring it into current times. They showed us a great presentation and was lovely to deal with and answered all our questions and concerns.

The process was so easy, the communication was awesome, the photographer was great! Everything went very smoothly.

We are so happy with our new revamped website and logo. The logo is great, clear, simple, bold and relates to Winton Motorcycles well. The website has met all our expectations. We love that it is mobile friendly and integrated with our Facebook pages and Dealerbase.
