INTRODUCTION

SouthRoads is a dynamic civil contracting company that operates throughout Otago and Southland. With seven branches and over 280 staff, the business was looking to undertake a rebrand and showcase the quality staff and work that they do in the South Island. Part of the HWR Group, they wanted a modern website that easily showed why they have a reputation for excellent results.

CREATIVE BRIEF

SouthRoads were looking to let people know what they actually do, where they are, and who they are. They’re a big company, but a lot of what they do was unknown to the general public, as it wasn't getting showcased on their website. They wanted a place where they could have news and events and projects to show what they’re working on and achieving. Their previous website was very dated, so they wanted a website with lots of colour and images to show the great people at the business.

 



WEBSITE

SouthRoads offer a wide range of services, so they worked with our content team to separate their services to be client focused, so they’re split by what they offer in terms rural, residential, commercial and civil solutions. They wanted to really showcase their staff, so they have an extensive About Us page and a People page where they showcase key staff. Their projects module shows their latest work which includes things like erosion projects and subdivisions. Their careers page also allows people interested in the business to show interest and upload their CV. Images are used throughout the website to showcase the great people working at the business and really brighten up the website.


 

ONGOING CONTENT

SouthRoads worked with the Turboweb team to establish not just their website, but their ongoing online content. We helped them start establishing a Facebook community and suggested solutions such as Google My Business listings so that potential visitors can easily see when they’re open and find directions to their locations. Their projects, especially in wetland restoration and erosion have had some interesting and solid interest, with people spending a long-time onsite reading about their latest project.
