Punch Tooling NZ

Bernie from Punch Tooling NZ is incredibly knowledgeable, with over 20 years in the industry, there’s no aspect of press and punch tooling that Bernie hasn’t come across. He’s a very specialist sales engineer and stocks the leading brands in tableting, fasteners and press tooling. Bernie from Punch Tooling NZ also has one of our favourite dogs, a beautiful chocolate lab who is very friendly.

Bernie wanted a website that represented Wilson Tool products, which offer very specialised tools, made to excellent engineering standards. Punch Tooling NZ works with quality and reliable brands, offering technical service and support, and this needed to show through on the website. Punch Tooling NZ needed a simple, professional website that was contemporary, yet traditional.

Punch Tooling NZ represents world-leading brands Wilson Tool, ToolsPress, Haeger, PEM Fasteners and Coastone Press Brakes, while offering the technical service and ongoing support needed to implement these reliable brands into South Island businesses. Punch Tooling NZ specialise in turret tooling, Impax tooling, press brakes, PEM inserts and tablet tooling and wanted to give them a prominent position on the website.

Punch Tooling NZ always wanted it to be easy for people to enquire, so has a custom enquiry form on the website to request a quote. Punch Tooling NZ has a brands section and a products section, where the benefits of their brands and the products they stock can be discussed. It’s pretty specialised to the industry, so the content team worked closely with Bernie to ensure the wording was accurate and concise.

I chose Turboweb after I met with Paul, as it was a local company with a good feel to it.

As I started a new business, I needed a website to show existing users and potential new customers where to get support, tooling sales, and information. The main hesitation I had was is the expense and ongoing cost worth the return on investment, this has proven to be a good choice, as I have had many referrals from the website with regard to new products, we are now supporting in the New Zealand market.

I think the process went well in the end, but I was a bit sceptical about writing about myself and with regard to my experience and self-promotion. But the team at Turboweb, even though they have no engineering knowledge, were able to draw out of me the information that helps my website work well on search engines like Google.
As I said, in the end there wasn’t too much blood on the floor at the end of the meeting!

Cheers Turboweb!
