Internet now valued part of most Kiwis' lives - 12th Dec 2011

An article in the New Zealand Herald this weekend states "Scepticism of the internet has all but disappeared in New Zealand, as users now prefer the web to any other source of information, confidently buy and sell goods, and increasingly create real relationships from online connections"

Reporter Isaac Davison has published an article based on results from a study that shows how New Zealand has embraced the internet at all levels. The article also shows New Zealanders have previously lagged behind the OECD in getting broadband connections, 91 per cent of users were now on broadband. The use of smartphones such as an iPhone has jumped from 7 per cent in 2007 to 27 per cent in 2011. Read the full article here
