About Us - Website Design Dunedin - Turboweb
Turboweb is a web development and web design company. Our mission is to help you understand the process of getting your website online. We do this by taking the jargon out of the process and keeping it human. The experience we have in our industry allows us to provide real world advice that results in real world results for you.Our focus is solely on web based solutions and this allows us to be specialists in one area rather than a jack-of-all-trades. We are friendly, approachable and helpful and passionate about using internet technologies to turn problems into solutions.
We also believe that the Internet is for everyone and as a result we develop inclusive web technologies that everyone can use - you will see direct evidence of this on our testimonials page.
Turboweb's History
Turboweb started in 2004 when Aaron Singline and Paul Southworth came together to work on various Internet projects. With Paul's sales and marketing knowledge and Aaron's technical abilities the easy-to-talk-to, easy-to-use synergy quickly emerged.Turboweb eventually outgrew the constraints of a home based office and in November 2007 secured office space at 310 Moray Place in Dunedin in order to provide room for growth and to better service our clients. In April 2008 we took on our first employee, Bob Brown.
The decision to step out with the company and grow has resulted in Turboweb going from strength to strength, delivering clever and easy-to-use solutions to a very wide range of clubs, businesses, organisations and individuals, some of which can be seen on our portfolio page.
Turboweb's Future
With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight and controlled growth we are actively looking at new and exciting ways to deliver Internet based solutions to real world problems. As a result of this we are always looking for clever, passionate and energised people to assist us. Paul Southworth - Managing Director
Paul has been building and running websites since 1999. With a background in retail and marketing, he soon found that clients wanted someone who could understand their needs without all the geeky jargon.Having spent many years running and building retail websites from the ground up Paul has learned first hand about what works and what doesn't on the Internet; there is much more to an online presence than just having a website.
Paul is responsible for the day to day management of Turboweb and handles most of the sales calls and client visits.
When not working Paul enjoys mountain biking, hunting, fishing, brewing and drinking beer, is mad keen on making videos for YouTube and has played in a few iconic Dunedin Bands, such as King Leo & The Growling Dogs, The George Street Patsys & The Pioneer Pog n Scroggin Bush Band. He is currently training for the Hawea Epic. He trains in many different activities around Dunedin and the greater area, often ending up in unique places. You can follow some of the adventures on his training blog. The blog is a combination of technologies using, text, videos, and maps pulled from different sources.

Aaron Singline - Co-Founder
Aaron has been fascinated by technology since his early childhood when he first saw a BBC Micro Computer with the power to play Bat n Ball ("Wow!"). Driven to find out how this thing worked, Aaron learned how to program it, and then progressed to the Apple ][ , Macintosh and early 3d graphics. The arrival of his first PC was a revolution and allowed him to move into Pascal programming, 3d raytraced graphics, early web design and standards, and running a BBS before the Internet as we know it took off.
Running his own company since 1998 and working as a systems administrator in various schools has given Aaron a great geeky background. He also runs night classes teaching web design.
Aaron also finds it a little unusual to talk about himself in the third person but has done so for the sake of this biography. He may or may not also have a strange sense of humour.
You'll most likely speak to Aaron when dealing with support issues. He will help you set up your Turboweb email and answer questions about your website.
You can follow Aaron on Twitter here.
